Although our foundation was incorporated and became a Canadian registered charity only in mid-2017, already we have established our scholarship and bursary program, coupled with related educational supports to needy students in Ghana.
Of particular note is the awarding of the foundation’s first scholarship to a needy but brilliant student who was raised as an orphan in one of Ghana’s caring orphanages, the Rev. Obli Foundation. The scholarship has enabled the student to enroll in Ghana’s premier university in the 2018 academic year, where he was otherwise quite unlikely to have been able to do so. The student was also provided with a laptop and other materials to facilitate his successful performance at the university.
The foundation has also donated a number of educational support items to the children of the Rev. Obli Foundation, including computers, books, and basic food items.
